Real Conversation on Discipleship

One of the real joys this past year was being part of a panel discussion sponsored by Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International and Grace & Peace Magazine. The honor was primarily being with so many passionate and classy people discussing a mutual interest in discipleship that proved invigorating. This very real conversation on discipleship reminded me why I pursued this vocation in the first place, and I am thankful that God graciously opened doors to live it. Occasionally Larry Morris stuck me with a question, here is an example:

From Grace & Peace Videos:

A panel of pastors and church leaders, moderated by Larry Morris, discuss principles and models of discipleship. This segment is part of a larger panel discussion entitled, “Making Christ-like Disciples in the Nations. A panel discussion hosted by Woodie J. Stevens, Global SDMI Director.” 14 minutes. 54 seconds.

The panelists include: Dean Blevins, Professor of Practical Theology and Christian Discipleship at Nazarene Theological Seminary; Brad Dyrness, lead pastor of Sparks (NV) Church of the Nazarene; Joseph Knight, senior pastor of Grand Rapids (MI) International Fellowship Church of the Nazarene; William Alvarado, who is currently planting a church on the Western Latin American District, the Buena Park Family of God Church of the Nazarene; Susan Carole, who leads culturally-diverse ministries on the Michigan District; Larry Morris(moderator) mission strategist for the SDMI office; and Woodie J. Stevens, global director for Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries International.
